Linda Blackshear Smith, a native of Tallahassee, Florida accepted her call into the ministry in September 1999. She has served in various roles since entering the ministry, from Sunday School teacher to Outreach Pastor. Evangelist Blackshear Smith has a deep passion for serving God and ministering to God's people. She has worked diligently in her quest to win souls to Christ Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She worked as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for over 35 years before her Retirement.

On April 8, 2013, Divinely Empowered Equipped Ministries, Inc. was founded, which is a Christian Education and Helps Ministry divinely assigned to take the Gospel of Christ Jesus to those who need help. In 2014, DEE Ministries was awarded 501(c)(3) status.

Evangelist Blackshear Smith received from the Spirit of God a Message—"Calling For Real Change!" God charged her to proclaim that there is a need for His people to change! God has compelled her to reach out to His people of faith and encourage them to live a life of a true follower of God! It is her quest to communicate the urgency of the need to change. She has reached out to women and men of faith decreeing a clarion call to change those things in their lives that are contrary to God, His Word, His Will, and His Way.

Evangelist Blackshear Smith is married to Dr. Wilbur I. Smith. She has one daughter, Natalie (Samuel), and one son, Kenneth (Jeanette). She is a grandmother to nine: Amira, Dayna-Lynn, Jena, Hailey, Samiah, Kenya, Kenia, Micah, and Kenadi.

In April of 2019 Evangelist Blackshear Smith authored "My Testimony". In her book, she shares insight of how she was victorious in overcoming adversity on her journey called life. She also candidly reveals her exposure to major church hurt and how she survived with increased faith in God.

Owing everything to the movement of God in her life, Evangelist Blackshear Smith’s passion for teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ is expressed in Isaiah 61:1: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”
